Living history

One way to learn how your ancestors lived is through "living history" -- the recreation or renenactment of what life was like for people in the past. This is done through demonstrations that use authentic clothes, equipment, weapons, and tools. Living history deepens our understanding of the past and of our ancestors.

In Michigan, there are several living history villages and forts including the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
