Marriage recordMarriage

Michigan law required the registration of marriages with the state, starting in 1867. Some marriage records, particularly those prior to 1926, were not filed with the state, but they may be available at the county level.

Anyone is eligible to order a copy of a Michigan marriage records. Marriage records can be ordered from the Michigan Department of Community Health.
